In 2015 we opened our dedicated hedgehog facility making us the only shelter with a dedicated hedgehog unit in Lancashire and Merseyside.

We take in a range of species making us the only shelter in West Lancashire that caters for multi-species.

All of our staff are qualified in animal management or animal care.

We are very please to announce that we now have in place an education programme aimed at schools, clubs and groups in the local areas.

We have started working with the local community taking our animals to meet and greet people in care homes, schools and day care centres.

We have started to provide more opportunities for volunteers with special needs.

We have expanded our outreach work by taking our education bus to a variety of venues.
